Individual Coaching Session ($150 per session)

I offer a “no charge” exploratory session. What do I mean? This session is all about getting to know each other for the purpose of

1) Exploring if coaching is really what you need at this time;

2) Providing us with a chance to meet each other to get a better sense of each other, to see if there is a fit for us to work together.

3) Providing you with information about the coaching process, what to expect in a coaching session, and what will be required of you as we continue the coaching program.

If we agree to work together, we set up a time to meet for the “intake or entry” meeting.

The purpose of the entry or initial coaching meeting:

1) To learn about your topic, what you wish to work on.

2) To find out more about “you” in your topic.

The purpose of the second meeting:

1) To propose a program which will outline your developmental objectives and practices to achieve those objectives. This will equally be the opportunity to discuss what could get in the way of attending to your practices; and answer questions about your program. The program will always provide you with a view of how you currently operate/orient yourself in your topic and will also provide you with a new way of being in your topic.

2) Each coaching program is unique, designed specifically for you. It stems from a rigorous assessment resulting from the entry meeting. I will design a comprehensive coaching strategy and practices tailored to integrate all dimensions of you: mind, body, interpersonal, and spiritual.

Between sessions, you will be mindfully using your day-to-day experiences to strengthen your competencies related to your topic. This may be done through various practices, given to you in manageable steps, such as, journaling; self-observation exercises, breathing exercises, body awareness training etc….

Subsequent developmental sessions: (usually within 2 /3 week interval)

1) Each subsequent meeting is intended to strengthen your competencies and working at building new ones that will help you reach your goal. At first the changes and progress might be very subtle but as you work on your practices, you will notice through the power of reflection and journaling, changes happening. As you change, the world around you changes.

On average, programs are designed for at least six months but there are a number of variables, which can influence the length of working together. This will be reviewed as we go along.

Issue-centred coaching circles (guided by a professional coach):

  • You are a small business owner and feel you are alone, with no one to turn to at your work to help you think through a certain problem that is draining your energy and resources?
  • You are a manager and your boss is too busy to give you guidance or you feel uncomfortable bouncing ideas off him/her?
  • You feel stuck with a particular situation and can’t afford to pay a high priced coach?

    Issue-centred coaching circles might be for you!!!

    What are they?

  • Group of 5 to 6 participants/managers/small business owners
  • Who meet every 4 to 6 weeks
  • To focus on work-related issues/challenges
  • Not by giving each other advice but rather by going through a collaborative inquiry process.

    The process leads to significant reflection and breakthrough in thinking which, as a result, provides individuals with new possibilities for action and new ways of seeing the issue. During this collaborative inquiry process, participants learn from and coach each other as they identify new ways and approaches to moving projects forward. There is an immediate and direct impact on the way the participants think and behave when they are back at the workplace.

    How do they work?

  • Sessions are one day-long in duration; (this is key and allows you to step out of your workplace, step back and “be” in the session for yourself and the other participants)
  • You bring a topic/issue to the group which is giving you a challenge or where you feel you have tried many approaches but still without a satisfactory outcome;
  • The group is guided with the help of a circle coach in asking exploratory questions;
  • Each participant is given an hour of “air time” which ends with reflection;
  • Process is repeated until each member of the circle has had his/her “air time”.

    What are the benefits to participating in an issue - centred coaching circle?

    Here are a few of the many benefits you can expect:

  • Connecting with others and having an opportunity to learn from people who share similar experiences and are struggling with the same problems;
  • Developing an awareness and better understanding of the wider context in which challenges and stuckness may sit;
  • Having a rare and yet exceptional opportunity to discuss challenges openly in a secure, confidential environment where managers/business owners feel supported and understood by their peers;
  • Cost is minimal and yet impact is significant;
  • Developing leadership, self-awareness, and breakthroughs in way of approaching challenges.
  • Strengthens your intention to undertake action with confidence;
  • Develop self-generating capacity to address other challenges as they arise;
  • Participate in a powerful learning activity as you and your peers achieve your goals and become coaches to each other.

    Services: Energy Healing

    My training is in the following modalities:

    Integrated Energy Therapy (all levels) often referred to as IET. I have equally trained in Reiki, second degree; and Therapeutic Touch (advanced)

    What is energy healing?

    It is noteworthy to add that there are thousands of books on this topic and I encourage you to research and learn more about energy healing should you be attracted to this section of my website and services.

    These few paragraphs simply provide you with a very brief definition and are by no means complete.

    Energy healing is the practice of balancing the energy field that surrounds the human body. It is often called or referenced as an “aura” or simply, “the energy field,” in many cultural traditions and is central to several alternative-healing techniques. It is often divided in charkas* each one corresponding to a person’s mental, emotional, and physical self.

    One's energy is believed to influence an individual’s well being. The energy field can be healed, and that healing translates into physical improvement. If the energy around the lungs is blocked, for example, there may be a corresponding physical problem. If the energy is smoothed out, the physical problem may be improved.

    (*In the Hindu tradition, chakras are centers of metaphysical or biophysical energy in the human body. There are generally considered to be seven basic charkas.)

    The treatment and modality of energy treatments have a similar approach. Please refer to Reiki service description below for more information.

    Reiki ($70 for a one-hour session)

    What is Reiki? Reiki is a pure form of healing energy. A path to transformation - Reiki helps lighten the burdens of the world, bring comfort, hope, and unconditional love to you and as a result, to others.

    How does a Reiki session feel? A treatment feels like a glowing radiance. You may feel coolness, tingling, warmth, pressure, little electric shocks, pulsations, or a pulling sensation. Each person's experience is different. Reiki is typically administered by a "hands-on" approach applying little or no pressure while one remains clothed.

    What should I expect during a session? You will be asked to read and fill out a client information form that is kept confidential. I review the information with you and spend several minutes talking with you, explaining the Reiki process and the hand positions, and answer any questions that you may have. The client lies on a massage table fully clothed and soft relaxing music will be played.

    I ask that you come with an open mind and allow your mind to relax. A Reiki session helps soothe and quiet the mind, which helps release, all thoughts, fears, and negative energy.

    This is a complementary modality that augments good health care practices and can promote faster healing and personal growth.

    Spiritual Healing ($35 for a half hour session)

    I have taken most of my training at the Arthur Findlay College Standsted, England where I have spent many hours of practice.

    If this subject and modality of healing is of interest to you, I encourage you to research and read up on this subject, as there is an endless amount of information available on the web. I equally ask that you use your own discernment as you read what you find.

    Harry Edward, a spiritual healer, has written many books, which have had a great influence on me. I would recommend one of his most popular one entitled: “ A Guide to the Understanding and Practice of Spiritual Healing”. It is a gem.

    A spiritual healer acts as a channel or conduit of Higher Source healing energies to others, whether for physical, emotional, mental or spiritual healing.

    Mind2Heart Meditation ($12 for 1.5-hour class)

    If you have never meditated and would like to start, we can start a group with as few as 3 interested people. Please see contact information if you wish to start a practice…or would like to come out with a few friends. The fee of $12 for a 1-½ hour class includes – introductions, meditation and a sharing of experience.

    Meditation classes are also available for more advanced practitioners.

    Much has been written on the benefits of meditation. I have spoken to many people whose medical doctors are recommending meditation when suffering from various ailments such as high blood pressure, or for people with respiratory problems. It calms the mind and helps those suffering from insomnia. Meditation helps folks better cope with everyday stresses of life. Meditation is a safe and simple way to balance a person's physical, emotional, and mental states. It is simple; but can benefit everybody.

    It has been scientifically shown that meditation works!

    Mind2Heart Meditation and Developmental Circle

    ($12 for 2-hour circles / or offered in series of 1 circle once a week for 4 weeks - $45 )

    This is an evening where meditation and intuitive development are practiced. The participant learns to attune to higher vibrations for inspirational writing, message giving, and inspirational speaking.
